Simon Clutterbuck has joined Cargo-D as Fleet Engineer. Simon previously worked for Virgin Trains as Area Fleet Engineer and was primarily involved in introducing and monitoring the Class 390 Pendolino fleet into traffic for Virgin Trains, transitioning from their existing MkII and MkIII fleet.
Simon also held the position as Fleet Performance Engineer for Anglia Railways when it operated a mixed fleet of MkII and MkIII vehicles. This all-round knowledge of rolling stock, process management and validation disciplines is ideally suited to Cargo-D's continuing expansion as they consolidate their position as contract rolling stock provider.
Mark Honey, Commercial Director commented "I am delighted that Simon has decided to join us. Having Simon join us fills a large void that we have seen growing as the fleet grows. We now have the technical and engineering disciplines in-house that allows us to much more closely monitor and manage the fleet. This will allow us to tighten up on process and discharge of safety responsibilities and also reduce external costs".
