Cargo-D and DB Regio have combined to offer Virgin Trains a 110mph push-pull service.
The train, which will operate on Friday evenings, will run between Euston and Preston, acting as a relief train to relieve pressure on the Friday evening departures to Preston and beyond.
DB Regio are providing 5 MkIII TSOs 12017/54/59/94/124 and Cargo-D are providing 3 FOs 11064/84/86 and RFM 10242. DVT 82101 makes up the consist.
The vehicles are being grouped at EWS Crewe where the set will be based. EWS will provide a Class 90 as before when Virgin operated it's WB64 set on the daily Euston - Birmingham and return evening diagram.
The diagram will operate initially for 6 months and will then be reviewed.
