Arriva Trains Wales (ATW) has started crew training using Cargo-D vehicles. ATW is to operate a new service from December 2008 from Holyhead to Cardiff and will be utilising locomotive-hauled vehicles.
Cargo-D operates similar MkII vehicles and has been hiring 4 MkII vehicles to ATW to operate with a Virgin Trains' Class 57 to train crews on the locos and stock. The train operates between Crewe, Holyhead, Shrewsbury and Stafford.
