Cargo-D act as a broker between various parties to integrate service delivery. This takes the format of partnerships with operators and TOCs alike. For example, Cargo-D is able to operate with on the nationwide passenger licenses of West Coast Railway Company, Direct Rail Services, DB Schenker and GBRf. However, it has also been audited by various TOCs, such as Virgin Trains, Scotrail and Chiltern Railways to allow TOC passenger operation within those franchises.
Cargo-D also puts a large amount of effort into the quality and condition of it's rolling stock. This pays dividends in the long run, especially should rolling stock be required for TOC operation quickly.
Cargo-D can also call off rolling stock quickly - MkII and MkIII variants are available. It is also willing to invest in stock to comply with the customer's requirements if the contract will allow a return on the investment.
The structure of each lease can be either 'dry' or 'wet', depending on the requirement to the customer.
Cargo-D's customer list includes Hull Trains, Wrexham, Shropshire and Marylebone Railway Company, Chiltern Railways, DB Regio, Arriva Trains Wales, Direct Rail Services, DB Schenker, Virgin Trains and First Great Western.
